Detailed Itinerary

  • DAY 1: – Arrive in Phnom Penh

    Welcome to Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. Located at the confluence of three rivers, the city features a wide variety of historical and cultural attractions along with elegant French colonial buildings and a bustling riverfront lined with cafes and restaurants. Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International airport,transfers will be arranged to take you to the hotel.

    The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own. Take a stroll on the riverfront lined with trendy pubs, bistros and restaurants.

    Overnight in Phnom Penh

  • DAY 2: – Phnom Penh - City Tour

    After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half day city tour of Phnom Penh. The tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace, which is still the royal abode of the King of Cambodia. Then a visit to the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace near the banks of the Mekong River. Continue the tour to the National Museum that contains a comprehensive collection of Khmer Art. The tour ends at either the Central Market or the Russian Market.

    In the evening you can opt for a one hour sunset cruise over the Mekong River to enjoy the spectacular view of the city.

  • DAY 3: – Travel to Kampong Thom via Kampong Cham

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Kampong Thom via Kampong Cham. Kampong Cham is a small charming city located on the banks of Mekong River with plenty of French colonial buildings. Enjoy a city orientation tour of Kampong Cham to discover its elegant colonial architecture. Then proceed to Kampong Thom, a picturesque town on the banks of the Stung Saen River. En route, visit Phnom Santuk Mountain, a cultural and natural site which has many Buddha statues flanking the stone pathway. Arrive at Kampong Thom and check-in to the hotel.

  • DAY 4: – Explore Kampong Thom and travel to Siem Reap

    After breakfast at the hotel, explore the countryside of Kampong Thom and the temples of Sambor Prei Kuk. Then proceed to Siem Reap, the gateway to world famous Ankor Wat Temple complex. Its close proximity to the Angkor Wat Temple, Siem Reap has transformed itself into a major tourist hub. It is Cambodia’s fastest growing city offering a wide range of hotels and restaurants but still retains an atmosphere of a laid-back town with old shop houses, open air cafes, art galleries and a sleepy river. Arrive at Siem Reap and check-in to the hotel.

    The rest of the day is at leisure.

  • DAY 5: – Siem Reap – Tour of Angkor Wat Temple Complex

    After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day tour of Angkor Wat Temple Complex. The Angkor Temple Complex is UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites of Southeast Asia. It contains magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire from 9th to 14th century including famous Temple of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. Visit Angkor Wat temple, one of the largest and best preserved of all the temples. Explore the Angkor Thom, a 3km x 3km fortified city and the last capital of Khmer Empire. Angkor Thom is famous for 3D Buddha heads, visit the Bayon Temple set at the centre which is famous for its gigantic, beautiful and serene stone faces that look out from all directions. Next visit is Ta Prohm, a beautiful temple bound by massive roots of huge trees and it became more famous after the movie Tomb Raider was filmed here. Enjoy the sunset in this serene temple complex.

    Overnight in Siem Reap

  • DAY 6: – Excursion to Kampong Kleang through a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake

    After breakfast at the hotel, visit Banteay Srei Temple, a sandstone temple with complex and intricate carvings. Next visit is Banteay Samre temple with the architectural style similar to Angkor Wat. Then proceed to Kampong Kleang, a floating village located about 50 km from Siem Reap town on the edge of the northeast shore of Tonle Sap Lake. Kampong Kleang is a beautiful untouched and peaceful village, when you arrive you will see stilt houses. Experience a boat trip to explore the floating fishing village and their unique lifestyle. As the boat navigates, you will see wooden houses floating on the river. The village moves along the river according to the seasons and even sits on Tonle Sap Lake during the dry season.

    Return to Siem Reap.

  • DAY 7: Depart from Siem Reap

    After breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel.
    Airport transfers will be arranged for your onward journey.
